Soma Structural Integration

Soma Structural Integration® is a comprehensive practice derived from Dr. Ida P. Rolf's work, aiming to transform lives holistically. It systematically rebalances the body's fascial web over 11 sessions, restoring freedom of movement and fostering new patterns. Soma addresses pain and mobility issues by working with connective tissue, incorporating mindfulness and sensory awareness to promote self-sensing and self-correction. It goes beyond mere physical realignment, encouraging clients to realize the active participation of all aspects of themselves in the process.

Ashiatsu Massage

Ashiatsu massage is a unique form of massage therapy where the therapist uses their feet to apply deep, broad pressure to the client's body. The therapist holds onto overhead bars for balance and support while using their feet to deliver smooth, gliding strokes and deep compression. The word "ashiatsu" is derived from the Japanese words "ashi" (foot) and "atsu" (pressure), indicating the technique's primary characteristic of using the feet for pressure application. Ashiatsu massage is known for its ability to provide deep tissue work while still feeling relaxing and luxurious to many clients.

Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic massage encompasses various techniques tailored to address specific health issues or promote overall well-being. It involves targeted manipulation of muscles and soft tissues to alleviate pain, reduce tension, improve circulation, enhance flexibility, and promote relaxation. Therapeutic massage can be customized to suit individual needs and may include modalities such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, myofascial release, and more.

Couples Massage

Couples massages are side by side sessions for two clients at the same time in the same room and can be fully customized for each individuals needs. We have two other highly-skilled licensed massage therapists who join Amy in providing an exceptional quality experience.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a specialized massage technique focused on promoting the natural drainage of the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system plays a crucial role in the body's immune function, fluid balance, and detoxification. During MLD, the therapist uses gentle, rhythmic strokes to encourage the movement of lymph fluid through the lymphatic vessels, helping to remove toxins, waste products, and excess fluid from the tissues. This technique is known for its light pressure and specific, repetitive movements, which can help improve circulation, reduce swelling, and enhance overall well-being. MLD is often used as a complementary therapy to support post-surgical recovery, reduce inflammation, and promote relaxation.

NeuroKinetic Therapy

(NKT) is a form of treatment that assesses and corrects movement dysfunctions and pain patterns in the body. Manual muscle testing is used to identify compensations in the body that are caused by muscles are overworking to make up for weaker or inhibited ones. Specific techniques are used to reprogram motor control and teach the brain a better way to move. NKT can reduce chronic pain, improve movement efficiency, prevent injury recurrence, and enhance athletic performance. Session is done fully clothed separate from massage. It can also be tacked on to massage appointment by request.
